William Durall Sr.

October 5, 1944 - August 12, 2025

William Wayne Durall Sr. (80) of Griffith, IN passed away peacefully in the morning of August 12, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was an avid poker player who always had the best poker face. He was very passionate about spending time with family and creating many lifelong memories. He was a long time employee of G & F Trucking Leasing Inc. of 45+ years where he met his longtime friends Vic Pruce, Bobby Reba, and many more. He was an Army Veteran who served for 6 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother Gracie Bell Durall (Whitlow), his father William Archie Durall, and his siblings Charles, Robert, Ronnie, and Brenda.

He is survived in death by his long time companion Sally Pruce and their dog Tasha along with his children Dawn (James) Artka, William (Bernadette) Durall Jr., and Brian (Jessica) Durall, grandchildren Amber Johnson (Eric Zimmerman), Amy (Benjamin) Boo, John Johnson, Faith Durall, Timothy Durall, Nicholas Durall (Bailey Fairbairn), Nicole Durall, Dylan Durall, Luke Durall, Aiden Durall, and Naomi Durall, great grandchildren Julianna Feliciano, Liam Zimmerman, Emma Boo, Weston Durall, and soon to be Owen Boo, and lastly by his many nieces and nephews.

I’ll miss our conversations and cocktails on the porch in Florida, the laughter, smiles, phone conversations and his wit. Great men don’t alway do things that define there life in greatness, some like Bill made other people feel comfortable, happy and his simple reasoning about life made me learn to relax more and enjoy the little things. Thanks Bill.

I had the greatest honor of taking care of your father for the last few years. We fought the good fight but time has a way of creeping up on us and changing our lives. I have a very empty feeling knowing I will never set my eyes on his baby blues again. He will be missed and cherished forever. With loving memories, Sally
