Theresa J. Tosto

Theresa J.  (also affectionately known as “Meme”) Tosto, age 90, of Chesterton, IN peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 25, 1935 in Leominster, Massachusetts to Thomas Sr. and Lea (nee: LeBlanc) Landry, who have preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Salvatore (Scott) Tosto III of Santa Cruz, CA; her four daughters, Corinne Kallman (Jerry) of Cary, NC, Sandra Cain (Jeffrey) of Portage, IN, Cindy Morgan of Holbrook, MA, and Linda Svizzero (Mark) of Holbrook, MA; grandchildren, Marion Dausses, Jaimie Tosto, Theresa Fanney, Peter Kallman, Kevin Kallman, Cassandra Cain, Brittani Lynch, Angelina Morgan, Sierra Morgan, Anthony Svizzero, Michael Svizzero; great-grandchildren, Connor & Matthew Dausses, Keidin Tosto, Sammi & Josie Fanney, Michael Kallman, Olivia & Liam Cain, Kaizley, Hadley, & Lucas Lynch, Julianna Morgan Eubanks; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 68 years, Salvatore Tosto who passed in 2022; her brother, Thomas Landry Jr.; and sisters, Phyllis Pires, Janice Lirette.

Family was always the heart of Theresa’s life. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and were truly her greatest treasure. A talented seamstress, Theresa took pride in her work and had a gift for creating with her hands. She also enjoyed many creative hobbies throughout her life, including coloring, knitting, crocheting, and ceramics.

Per Theresa’s wishes, her and Salvatore will be inurned at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI on June 10 2026 at 10:00 AM CST.
