Tara Tirtel, 39, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday January,5th 2023.
She was born Oct. 6th, 1983 in Hammond, Indiana to Steven G. Tirtel and Vickie D. (Brock) Tirtel.
Tara was a 2002 Graduate of Donald E. Gavit High School in Hammond. She later attended Medical Career Academy, where she Graduated in 2016 as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. She loved listening to music and spending time at her family’s cabin, but most of all, she loved spending time with her three children. She had a fierce personality, enjoyed metal, and walked to the beat of her own drum. All of this combined with her defiant attitude, desire to protect the ones she loved, and her initials T.N.T. earned her the nickname “Boomer” from a very young age. Tara was fun-spirited and strong-willed and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Tara is survived by her three young children whom she loved dearly, Charleigh Grace Tokarz, Logan Lee Tokarz & Everleigh Diane Tokarz, her Aunt Glenda Barnes, her Aunt Sherry (Eric) Conkright, her Uncle Dennis (Sandy) Brock, her Uncle David Brock, her Uncle Paul (Evelyn) Brock and her Uncle Randy Brock, as well as several cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Vickie D. Tirtel, her Father, Steven G.Tirtel, her Brother, Steven Bradley Tirtel, her Maternal Grandparents, Earl L. and Dorothy E. Brock, her Paternal Grandparents, Glen W. and Mary C. Tirtel, her Uncle Roger L. Brock, Her Uncle Carlos Barnes and her Aunt Fran Burkett.
Cremation was chosen. There will be no services, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
