Susan J. Davison was born in Buffalo, New York, on November 15, 1951, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, January 13, 2026.
Susan lived life with an adventurous spirit. She loved traveling, sailing, and fishing alongside her devoted husband, Richard Davison. Together, they spent several memorable years sailing throughout the Caribbean, exploring numerous islands and countries, and embracing the beauty and culture of each place they visited. In recent years, they returned to the Chesterton area to be closer to their children. It was during this time that Sue retired from JetBlue after many years of dedicated service as a flight attendant.
Susan was a devoted and loving mother to Tony (Tracy) Mistretta and Becky Conrad-Mistretta, and a cherished grandmother to Katelyn Mistretta. She was also a caring stepmother to Randy (Amy) Davison and Lora Davison, and a loving step-grandmother to Zachary Foster.
She was preceded in death by her father, Peter (Dixie) Reuther; her mother, Mary J. (Ramier) Wesser; her stepfather, Edward Wesser; her son, Anthony (Tony) Mistretta; her sister, Pam Reuther; her brother, Dennis (Diane) Wesser; and her niece, Faith.
Sue is survived by her siblings Marquerite (Chris) Herron, Bradley (Sarah) Meyers, Kym (Brian) Sander, and Jay (Tanya) Reuther; as well as her half-brothers, Patrick and Keith Sullivan. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sue’s heart was full with love for her two cherished dogs, Sophia and Garth, who brought her constant companionship.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization Sue proudly supported. A private memorial was held by the family in her honor.
