Ronald Rader passed away on January 31, 2021 at the age of 69 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Ron is survived by his wife of 47 years Beverly (DeHaan) Rader, his daughters Stephanie Samuelson and Samantha (Jason) Bushman, his grandchildren; Jacob, Mikey, Danica and Rader and sister Sharon (Steve) Fritts. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Lorene Rader.
Ron was passionate about his job as a farmer. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop to get the latest gossip and talk about farming. He enjoyed his many hobbies of golfing, fishing, archery and spending time with his family. He was proud of the many exchanges students the family hosted from the years of 1989-2003. He considered each and everyone of them as his son/daughter.
If Ron were not working you would see him in the stands at his daughters/grandchildren sporting/school events. This is where his most enjoyment came from. He would always be cheering them on with the nicknames he gave to each of his grandkids.
Most would remember Ron for his witty personality and his infectious laugh.
Ron’s wishes were to be cremated, which is being handled by Southshore Cremation. A Celebration of life will be held at First Church in Wheatfield, Indiana on 2/9/21 at 6:00 PM. You can visit with family prior to service from 5-6 PM. Masks will be required with social distancing.
Ron requested for no flowers or sappy services. He wanted to be remembered for the fun, loving guy he was. In leu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for medical expenses that have occurred.
