Rolando Briones, 64, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1960, in Chicago to Salvador and Carmen Briones.
Rolando dedicated 30 years of his life as a laborer for the City of Chicago, where he was known for his hard work, loyalty, and sense of humor. Outside of work, he had a passion for fine jewelry, a love of classic movies, and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Eileen, and his extended family who will miss him dearly. Rolando was preceded in death by his brothers, Sal, Frank, and Arturo, as well as his sister, Rosa.
A celebration of Rolando’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Misericordia Home, an organization close to his heart.
Rolando will be remembered for his warm smile, his boisterous laughter, and his generous spirit. Whether he was sharing a laugh or simply enjoying time with loved ones, he left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His legacy of love and dedication to family will live on through the many lives he touched.
