Robert Ochwat, born on March 27, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, a proud Army veteran and lifelong resident of Chicago’s South Side, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2024. He was 83 years old.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann.
Robert served in the Army. After his service, he applied his skills to a successful career in appliance repair, working for Sears Roebuck and Company for many years. He later brought his talents to the restaurant industry, working in maintenance along with other side jobs.
Robert was a true Chicagoan, always fond of the South Side’s vibrancy. He will be remembered for his love of animals, Polka music, good food, and a fine brandy.
Robert was the devoted father of Robert Ochwat Jr., Vince Ochwat and Joseph (Linda Harrison) Ochwat. Cherished son of the late Joseph and Lottie Ochwat. He was also the loving brother to Richard, Sandra and Barbara who have all preceded him in death.
