Richard Jakich

June 9, 1959 - July 13, 2022

Richard Jakich, age 63, of Wheatfield, Indiana, ended his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home.  Richard was born June 9, 1959, in Gary, Indiana to Robert and Ilene (Stypula) Jakich, Sr.  He retired as a Forman from USG and was a loving father and grandfather.  Richard loved his family, Buster (his dog), friends, guns, hunting and was an avid collector of miscellaneous items.

Richard is survived by his loving daughters, Kimberly (William Wright), Sherry Foust, Shelly (Abel Abonce); and his son, Richard James Jakich;  along with 9 grandchildren, Katelyn Christine and Grace Lynn Foust, Shyla Renee and Isabella Sophia Abonce, Hunter John-Paul, Linken James, Brody Davis, Kennedi Michelle and Richard Edward Jakich; and four brothers, Robert Jakich, Ron Jakich, Kevin Jaki, and David Derr, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jakich, Sr., mother, Ilene (Stypula) Jakich, and sister, Tami Renee Jakich.
