Born in 1937 to Jesse and Melba Cox in Otterbein, Indiana. She passed away on June 23, 2021.

Her dearest husband, Jim of Merrillville, IN, survives her. They would have been married 65 years on June 30, 2021.

Children: Sally Connor of Schererville, IN. Son, Jimmy (Debby) Connor of Avon, IN.

Grandchildren: Rhiannon (Josh) Mueller of Michigan City, IN. Lacey Carlson (Kyle Ludovice) of Griffith, IN and Madeleine Carlson (David Aviles) of Chicago, IL.

Great-grandchild: Eliza Ludovice

Nieces: Sharon and Karen Nemeth of Dyer Nephew: Terry Nemeth of Dyer

Preceded in Death by her parents and siblings, Calvin, Wayne, Ralph and beloved sister June.

Her greatest joy was a good meal with lots of laughter. She was humble and faithful, and loved the Lord with all of her heart.

Her granddaughters and great granddaughter were the loves of her life. She relished all of her time with her family and friends near and far.

She will be missed dearly and deeply, as she loved all of us.

Your family was such a staple of my childhood; it's hard not to think of her as one of my adoptive moms since I was always at your house. I know she has found peace in the Lord's arms, so I will pray instead for the strength to forge ahead in the coming days to help ease your pain of loss. Love to you all.
