Mary Henrich

On May 25, 2026 Mary A. Henrich passed away peacefully at her home in Chesterton surrounded by her 2 sons and daughter-inlaw by her side. Mary was born to George and Dorthy(Wentland) Henrich on September 26th, 1953. Mary was a graduate of Elston High School in 1971. On September 8,1973 she married Curtis Schultz of Laporte, and proceeded to have 2 sons. Brenden(Tammy) Schultz of Hobart and Thaddeus Schultz of Laporte who both survive. Mary worked as a supervisor at Sandusky Abrasive for 15 years before moving on to the Duneland School Corporation as a custodian for 18 years where she retired from 2 years ago. Mary enjoyed planting flowers in the spring time and loved to garden. She enjoyed going on lunch dates with her 2 best friends Nancy and Marcey. She was preceded in death by one daughter-inlaw Shana Jean McAfee Schultz, her parents George and Dorthy Henrich, brother James Henrich, and sister Joyce Dean. There will be no services held with a dinner planned at a later date with close family and friends.
