Kathleen (Kathy) Lynn Yerion (Euber), age 64, of Wheatfield, Indiana passed away on August 20th, 2025, in Crown Point, Indiana with family by her side. Kathy was born on March 26th, 1961, in Winamac, Indiana to Harold and Clara (Stankus) Euber and was raised in Sauk Village, Illinois, where she held beloved childhood memories with her family.
While visiting family, Kathy met her husband, Mike. They enjoyed their early years falling in love while spending their time outdoors, hiking and camping. On June 3rd, 1989, they were happily married at the church they attended together. They spent their lives together in their home in Wheatfield, Indiana.
Kathy spent her younger years working as a licensed cosmetologist and then as a realtor under the teachings of her mother- and father-in-law. In October of 1997, after years of trying, she and Mike joyfully welcomed their only child, Savannah Yerion, into the world. Kathy dedicated her time to raising and caring for her daughter. Kathy was an active member of Medaryville Christian Church and helped to lead the nursery, teach children’s church, host dinners, organize the prayer chain, and more. She could also be found volunteering at her daughter’s school, helping at book fairs, swimming classes, class parties, and field trips. Kathy loved to cook, travel, and spend time outdoors. More than anything, she cherished every opportunity to see and talk with her family. Those that love her will miss her humor, wit, kindness, and generosity.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Michael (Mike) Yerion; her loving daughter, Savannah Yerion; her sister, Matilda (Mimi) Gordon; and her brothers, Joseph (Joe) Euber and Dean Euber; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her brothers, Mike and John (Jack); and her sisters, Pamela (Pam), Reva, and MaryAnne (Mary).
