Gwen was an amazing person who was loved by all that met her. Gwen was a quiet and polite person, but once you got her going she could be the life of the party! If you didn’t know better she left you with the impression that she was meek… let me tell you… she was absolutely the strongest person I have ever known. She lived strong, loved strong and fought strong.

Gwen played roller derby with Region Rat Rollers and South Shore Roller Girls under the name ArmaGwendolyn. She rode her Harley with the all women’s riding club, the Gear Dolls. She was a radio DJ on WJOB and Indiana 105. She was a scuba diver and loved camping in her Airstream.

She is survived by her husband Jim, parents Glenda and TJ and her beloved fur baby, Rocky. She will be truly missed!

If you loved Gwen then hug those around you, share your love and laugh out loud… it’s what Gwen would do and it’s what she wants for you now!

My wife Barbara and I were honored to attend Jim and Gwen’s wedding. Although our friendship waned over the years, learning of Gwen’s passing came as a shock. They should have had more time; but I’m sure they lived a lifetime in the moments they shared each day and the love they shared will continue to live forever.

I am heartbroken broken to hear of Gwens passing. We met each other in kindergarten and were friends in elementary school and middle school. She was always a genuine sweetheart and someone you were blessed to know. My thoughts and prayers to her husband, mom and family. May God give you comfort and peace.
