Graciela Ponce, Was born on 12/13/1936 in Mexico City but grew up in Acapulco. She was the 2nd of 4 children (she had 2 sisters and 1 brother, all deceased). Graciela married Armando Ponce Sr. in 1956 at the age of 20, together they had 4 children: Maria Diana Arce, Armando Ponce Jr., Manuel Ponce and Eduardo Ponce, and many grandchildren.
In 1961 Graciela, with her Husband Armando Sr. and daughter Diana, moved from Mexico to reside as permanent legal residents in Chicago, IL. U.S.A. There they brought up a family.
In 1974 Graciela and her daughter Diana were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses. She used the rest of her life to help others to learn about the Bible promise of restoring this earth to the condition that Jehovah God originally proposed for mankind an earthly paradise like the garden of Eden.
Graciela was a kind, self-sacrificing person who delighted in helping others, she would give you the shirt off her back and though she leaves us with little in material possessions she was truly rich with treasures in the heavens (Mat.6:20) and her life was also enriched by the love of all those that had the privilege to know her. Ask anyone that knew her and they will tell you a story of her kindness.
On March 16th 2021 Graciela fell to sleep in death, she is now waiting for the wonderful day that the Bible Promise found in Acts 24:15 will be fulfilled. On that day she will rise from her grave and join her family and friends and live eternally in the earthly paradise that she taught others about.
A zoom service will be held for her on Monday March 22 at 7pm in Spanish.
