George “Mike”, age 79 of St. John, Indiana, formerly of Tinley Park, Illinois. Passed away October 2, 2022. Mike passed very gently Sunday evening surrounded by his children and wife, Pat, shortly after 11:15 pm. Loving husband of Patricia, nee Gavin. Dearest Dad of Michael (Christine Beaupre) Millerick, Brian Millerick, and Tara (Barrett) Jiranek. Cherished “Gramps” of Evan, Gavin and Kate Millerick; Emily, Bridget, Jonathan and Aidan Millerick and Grace, Cole and Mason Jiranek. Dear brother of Sheila Gilmore, Marji (John) Keane, Therese (William) Lau, Jack (Judy) Millerick and brother-in-law of Sharon Millerick. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Favorite cousin of Joan Coyne. Good friend to many. Preceded in death by his sister, Marie Matkovich and brother, William Millerick. Mike was a retired employee of AT&T. Mike was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren, they were the light of his life.
