Ellen Olander, at the age of 88, surrounded by family, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. She was a loving fiance of 26 years; and a loving, devoted mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family. She loved to laugh and she loved to make everyone around her smile.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents James B and Catherine Lynch; brother, James Lynch; sisters, Virginia Sellnow, Catherine Eaton and Susan Brown; son, Marty Fletcher; and grandson, Brent Freyenberger. She is survived by her fiance, Ernie Allmon; sister, Jane Pratsinak; daughters, Barbara Clemons (husband, Darl) and Diane McCauley (husband, Scott); grandchildren, Amy Stacy (husband, Tim) and Joshua Freyenberger; step-grandchildren, Ryan Clemons (wife, Kelsey), Nici Doty, Megan McCauley and Mallory McCauley; great-grandchildren, Trenton Freyenberger, Nevaeh Freyenberger, Weston Stacy and Josie Stacy; step-great-grandchildren, Maxwell Clemons, Alex Clemons, Maggie Oliver (husband, Alex), Surri Clemons, Abram Clemons, Katryna Daniels and Savannah Daniels; and step-great-great-granddaugter, Phoenix Welch.
Ellen worked hard her entire life to provide for her family. When she finally retired, at the age of 82, she enjoyed a quiet life with her fiance, Ernie. They enjoyed going on drives together and attending every family event they could. Ellen found joy where she gave it: with her family.
There will be a grave-side gathering on Sunday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. Central time at Round Lake Cemetery, Knox, Indiana.
