Edward R. (Buzz) Bohle, Jr., (71), authority on wilderness survival, hunting, and all things outdoors, passed away on Sunday November 13, 2022, surrounded by his family. Ed was born in Michigan City, IN to Edward R. Bohle, Sr. and Maxine Barlow on September 19, 1951. He is survived by his mother, Maxine Barlow Johnson (William Johnson); his son, Edward R. Bohle III (Elvira Bohle); his daughter, Alexis Bohle Wallace (David Wallace); brothers, James Bohle (Beth Bohle) and Rodney Bohle; wife, Leah Bohle; grandsons Dylan Bohle, Max Bohle, and Jackson Bohle; granddaughter, Emilee Bohle. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Bohle, Sr. and his brother, Timothy Bohle. Ed was a Army Reserve veteran with 12th Special Forces Group, Coast Guard Auxiliary Officer, Michigan City Police Officer, Long Beach Deputy Marshall, and INDNR Safety Instructor. Edward was awarded the U.S. Coast Guard Life Saving Medal along with numerous other commendations for heroism.
A celebration of life will be held at Kruger Memorial Hall (Liberty Trail), Michigan City IN on November 18, 2022 at from 4-8 pm.
