Donna Butcher, 71, of Crown Point passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Her family and friends meant the world to her. She often spoke about old times and all of the people who held a special place in her heart. She loved to laugh, go on adventures and competitive games of Yahtzee. Her grandkids, who she loved tremendously, were so special to her, and she cherished spending time with them. Anyone who crossed paths with her, knows how deeply patriotic she was, as well as how much she was into butterflies, anything purple and tending to her flower garden.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Butcher, and her parents, Donald S. Nielsen and Lilian M. Nielsen.
She is survived by her children Amy Brunner of Crown Point, Donald Brunner (Corina) of Crown Point, Karen Baraban (Mickey) of Manteno and Jessica (Scott) Engle of Indianapolis. Her Brother Dave Nielsen (Sue) of Carpentersville, and her nephews Jack and David.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Kane, Ameliah, Tegan, Peytan, Royce, Selena, Juliana, Corinna and Cecilia.
Per her wishes, there will be no services.
