David Zummak (1946-2025)
David Zummak, 79, of Michigan City, IN was called home on January 14, 2025.
David was born in Houston, TX and was preceded in death by his adopted parents Reverend Leon and Agnes Zummak.
David served in the United States Army from 1963-1966, as a Radio Teletype Operator. After discharge, he took a job with Bethlehem/Mittal Steel for which he worked for 40 years prior to retirement.
David is survived by his wife of 58 years Nancy R (Jahnz) Zummak, two amazing children Son Mark Zummak (Wife Kelli), Daughter Jennifer (Zummak) Walsh (Husband John), 3 grandchildren, Heather, Candice, Adam, and his sister Mary Beal.
David was very patriotic, and a proud veteran. He surrounded himself with American Decor, and had a love for the Bald Eagle. He was known to be very passionate about motorcycles, old cars, nature, birdwatching, and gardening.
David’s wishes were to be cremated, with the help of Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, and will be joined/buried with the love of his life Nancy when so time calls.
The family has chosen to have a “Celebration of Life” gathering which will be announced at a later, warmer, date.
A heartfelt Thank You goes out to “Dunes Hospice” for their superior loving support and services.
