Cheryl Ann Silverthorne, 62, passed away at Franciscan Health of Michigan City after a brief illness. She was born in Hammond, Indiana to the late Wilson O. and Betty J. Silverthorne.
Cheryl is survived by her daughters, Cheyenne Canku Ota Wi of Colorado and Dakota Blaze Silverthorne of Berrien Springs, Michigan; three fur babies, Bonnie, Clyde, and Cody; two grandchildren, Fallon Randall Silverthorne Slayton and Ember Danielle Lee of Berrien Springs, Michigan; two sisters, Betty Sue (David) Ralph of Culver, Indiana and Penny Swain of Robersonville, North Carolina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was proceeded in death by her older brother, Michael O. Silverthorne.
Cheryl was a nomad of life who loved to travel and cared deeply for mother nature and animals. She was an avid recycler and a vegetarian. She loved to laugh and have fun. She will be missed very much by her friends and family.
