Charlotte Jean Geer

Charlotte Jean Geer, age 72, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 in Valparaiso, IN. She was born on May 31, 1950 in Corry, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Janice

(Anderson) Mitchell.

Charlotte was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader, baker, loved to dance, and lived to spend time with and see her children and grandchildren grow. Prior to her health deteriorating, she enjoyed working as a cashier at the former Wiseway grocery store in Valparaiso before going back to school to get her Associate Degree to become a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Charlotte is survived by her loving children, Michael Geer of Valparaiso, IN, Aaron Geer of Kouts, IN, Chad Geer of Murrieta, CA, and Danielle (Mike) Shouse, of Valparaiso, IN, 6 grandchildren, her sister, Barbara Messenger of Butler, PA, brothers, Kenneth Mitchell and his wife, MaryJean, of Keystone Heights, FL, Larry Mitchell and his wife, Regina, of Corry, PA, Chuck Mitchell of Long Beach, CA, Dean Mitchell of Corry, PA, and Dale Mitchell and his wife, C.J., of Butler, PA, several nieces and many nephews.

She was preceded in death by only her parents.

The family would like to send heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Verna Hallett, Lena Miller, Helen Bridges, Chaplin Allen and the VNA Hospice Nurses for taking such good care of her over the last two months of her life. The love and care you showed her really made a difference and eased what she was going through.
