Carol Zartler

Carol Zartler, age 81, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 in South Chicago Heights, IL with her family and loved ones by her side.

Carol was born in “the Heights” to Frank and Alice Zeman. Carol is survived by her brother, Steve Zeman; daughters: Laura Sims and Debbie Elliott; Grandchildren: Glenn and Ashley Sims, and Robert and Lindsay Elliott; also four beautiful and precious great-grandchildren: Anthony, Aiden, Addison and Robbie.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Ernie, or as he was better known, “EZ”; also, her sister, Phyllis Crockett of Evansville, IN.

Carol was a long standing member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Steger, IL. One of Carol’s strongest sentiments was “Family First”. Carol loved gardening and flowers of all kinds. Her favorite pastime was tending to her garden.

Carol will live on in our hearts and minds. We are already reminiscing with levity of some of our experiences shared.

Per her wishes, no service will be held at this time. A celebration of her life will be held at a later determined date and location.
