Bradley Allen Pessmeg, 56 years young, of LaPorte, IN passed away May 27, 2023. He was the son of Ronald D. and Kathleen S. Pessmeg (Hiatt) formally of Valparaiso. Brad graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1985. He completed his Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University in 2012. Brad worked many jobs throughout his life, the last of which being a HVAC Service Technician from Land Heating & Air in LaPorte. On April 4, 2015 Brad married the love of his life, Michelle, of LaPorte, who survives him. Also surviving him are his children, Eric and Eli Pessmeg of Chesterton, Mollie Land and granddaughter, McKenna, of LaPorte. His surviving family members are, his mother Kathleen S. Pessmeg, Rhonda (Joe) Wiatrowski of LaPorte, David (Tammy) Pessmeg of Florida, Sarah (John Rossi) Pessmeg of Chesterton, Carolyn (Bob) Pessmeg-Fry of Valparaiso. Brad was proceeded in death by his father, and grandparents.

Brad had been diagnosed over 2 years ago with ALS. Throughout his last 2 years, he was determined to make every day his best day ever. If you followed him on Facebook, you know he was an inspiration to all his friends and family. Despite his diagnosis, Brad was grateful for all the blessings he received over the last several years.

Brad’s second love of his life was bike riding. Any weekend you could find Brad on a bike trail or a country road cruising around LaPorte County. Brad loved being outdoors during any season. Brad enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family and friends. You could count on Brad to bring the jokes and laughter to any and all events. Brad’s favorite moments were spending time with his best friend and wife, Michelle.

Celebration of Life will be Monday, June 5^th, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm at the VFW 181 McClung Road, Laporte, In 46350. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brad’s family.

Arrangements were entrusted with Southshore Online Cremation.

So shocked to learn of this loss. Brad was a wonderful person with an amazing heart, surely the most undeserving person of suffering that I’ve ever come to know. Prayers for everyone that knew him because no doubt his exit from his earthly life left a sadness for anyone that had the opportunity to cross Brad’s path in life. What a blessing he was to all those he knew & loved. Praying especially for his wife, daughter, and granddaughter. Although no longer a part of my life, he was one of the most memorable parts of my younger years. I know his memories will live on in the hearts & minds of so many. ? May he rest peacefully.

Brad-- you are the love of my life! I will forever be grateful of the time we were given to share our lives on earth , you showed me so much love and kindness that I promise you I will ALWAYS be in love with you. Rest in heaven my love ? Love your wife~Michelle

I am so sorry that Brad is no longer with us. I am very grateful to have conversed with him on face book and messenger recently. I think Brad and I were best friends in about 3rd and 4th grade at Washington Twp. School. We played a lot together and Mr. and Mrs. Pessmeg took me camping at Potato Creek once. I’ll never forget Brad and his choice to set the example for how to battle and be so positive every day. God Bless Brad and his entire family. Marty Cain

So sorry for you loss, my prayers go out to your family, He was a great friend and fun to be around growing up, I wish we could have stayed more in touch, we will always have youth group memories with David . him being in my wedding with David, and showing up at my 2nd wedding with a guest, and surprising me. My thoughts are with you all.
