John Marshall Lanning, 70, died of natural causes on October 24th ,2023 at his residence in Michigan City, Indiana.
John was born, the first son of seven children, March 1,1953 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Kenneth and Patricia Lanning. John grew up in LaGrange, Illinois and graduated from Lyons Township High School. He graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois and then received his law degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana.
John will always be our big brother in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Thomas Lanning. He is survived by his son Brian Lanning; siblings, Robert Lanning (Mary), Luanne Lanning, Susan Lanning, Marianne Lanning, Michael Lanning (Cam), and sister in-law Janice Lanning. He is also survived by nephew Robert Jr. (Carrie) and their son Trevor and nieces; Elizabeth (Christina), Starly, and Annie.
