Stanley E Smith, 99, of Michigan City, IN passed away on March 28, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Edith, daughters Susan and Julie (Kent), and six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Stan lived a full life, living in Alaska on several occasions and served as a Captain in the US Army Air Corp and US Air Force during WWII. He was an accomplished gardener, woodworker, and loved being outdoors. He always kept his birdfeeders filled in his backyard, and truly enjoyed watching the many cardinals, blue jays, and other birds that were visiting constantly.
Stan lived a long and enjoyable life and will be missed by those who were happy to know him.
