Ronald Wayne Newcomb, Jr., 64, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away on September 30, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wayne Newcomb, Sr., and his sister, Suzanne Newcomb.
Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Kimberly Newcomb; his loving children Shannon (Tony) D’Ambrose, Tiffany (Oliver) Pelta, Ronald (Kelly) Wayne Newcomb III, Nicholas (Zoey) Newcomb, and Tabitha Widen; and his cherished grandchildren Jordan, Kayla, Jared, Cooper, Conner, Carter, Jacob, Emily, Nathan, and Duke. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Anthony James and Presley, who all brought him great joy.
He is also survived by his mother, Marlene Newcomb, and his sister, Kathy (Grant) DeNormandie.
Ron was a signal inspector at Belt Railway of Chicago for 31 years. He was a proud alumnus of Mt Carmel, graduating class of 1978. He dedicated many years to mentoring young people, serving as a Lansing Lions football coach as well as president and coach of the Lynwood Little League.
Ron will be remembered most for his unwavering love for his family, his deep devotion as a husband, father, grandfather, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him. His presence brought warmth and laughter, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
