Ronald D. Lair, 66, of Hammond, IN passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2024 at 6:57am at St. Catherine’s Hospital in East Chicago, IN.
Ronald was born September 23rd, 1958 in Hammond, IN to George F. and Mary L. (Spanier) Lair.
Ronald grew up in Hammond Indiana and chose a career as an auto mechanic. Ronald enjoyed working on cars and was always more than willing to help out family and friends when they needed help repairing or maintaining their cars in his free time.
Ronald was a loving father to two daughters, Melissa (Jason) DeFazio, and Laura (Adam) Bigger. Ronald enjoyed spending time with his whole family and loved his siblings who were also his best friends, his daughters, nephew, nieces, great nephew, great nieces, brother in law, and many other extended family members dearly.
Ronald enjoyed watching movies and sports. He especially enjoyed watching football and NASCAR with his brother. Ronald loved family get-togethers, going on family vacations, taking road trips with his brother and nephew, and he also enjoyed fishing.
Ronald was and will always be loved dearly by his family, and we will miss him until we meet him again in Heaven. We take comfort in knowing he was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his parents, sister, and daughter.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Melissa L. (Jason) DeFazio, Merrillville, IN; brother, Donald L. Lair, Hammond, IN; brother-in-law, Michael G. Gentry, Medaryville, IN and Nephews, Nieces, Great Nephew, Great Nieces, and many other extended family members who love him dearly.
Ronald is preceded in death by: his parents, George F. and Mary L. (Spanier) Lair; daughter, Laura L. Lair Bigger; and sister, Clara M. Gentry.
