Renee Marie Koznarski (nee Patton), age 53, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was a longtime resident of Posen/Midlothian, IL & Valparaiso, IN.
Renee was born on July 21, 1971 to William H. Patton & Sandra L. Patton (nee Pankiewicz) who have preceded her in death.
Beloved and cherished wife of Kenneth R. Koznarski and loving mother of Daniel (Jordan) Misner, Meghan (Jimmy) Dziekan, Jamie (Vicente) Ferreira, Shaun Koznarski, & Keira Koznarski. She was also a loving Gigi/Grandma to CJ Dziekan, Brooklyn Dziekan, Cora Dziekan, Nicholas Ferreira, & Scarlett Ferreira; sister to Bill (Rhonda) Patton; and a loving aunt, cousin, & friend to many. Renee was a longtime Midlothian Country Club server & Cottage Bartender. She was her children’s #1 supporter and cheerleader at all their sports, activities, school, & life. Forever and always Ken’s sweetheart.

I knew Renee through being in marching band with her amazing daughter Keira. I didn’t know her well but when she was around she brightened up the day because of how funny she was. She was very caring towards everyone else in band, especially with the trumpet section(Keira was apart of this section). If anyone needed something, she tried her hardest to get it for them. Renee was an amazing person and will be greatly missed.

Renee you were a amazing friend. You would help anyone You were devoted Mother Grandmother & Loved for Ken . We will always remember good time at the Cottage bar. You were a great bartender. Always had us laughing

Renee’s an amazing woman,friend,and loved her family more than anything. She will be missed and always have a place in my hearts. May you rest in peace.

My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to Renee's family. I met Renee years ago through my stepmom Donna who worked at the country club with her and I also worked with her as well. Renee was always so very welcoming and we just got along great and my stepmom adored her. She truly was an amazing person and she will be greatly missed.
