Pauline Harper (Canino), age 86, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025. Born on June 8, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, Pauline lived a life full of faith, love, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Harper, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage—a partnership rooted in love, strength, and mutual respect. Pauline was the cherished daughter of the late Albert and Anna Canino, and she was preceded in death by her siblings Dominic, Jerome, and Joann, as well as her granddaughter Brandy.
Pauline is survived by her loving daughters, Kim and Michelle; her adored grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis, Erick, Jeremy, and Jessica; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Brianna, James, Anabelle, Brooks, and many others who brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Frances and Angela; her beloved sisters-in-law, Gloria and Sharon; along with numerous nieces and nephews who shared a lifetime of memories with her.
A devoted member of DeMotte Christian Church, Pauline’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Whether through her warm smile, kind words, or homemade meals, Pauline had a way of making everyone feel at home.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
