Michael P. Anderson, 67, of Hobart, IN passed away on August 13, 2025 after a painful battle with cancer.
He is survived by his daughters Lena (Chris) Lawrence, Tiffanie (Frank) Ratliff, Rebecca Anderson (their mother Donna Anderson); Grandson Austin (Alex) Weathermon; Great granddaughter Melyssa Weathermon; Sister Rebecca Anderson; Mother Lois Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his brothers John Matthew, David John; Grandmother Mary(Granny) Kraus, Grandfather Morris Kraus.
Michael was first and foremost a loving father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He loved his daughters so much, and was so excited when he became a great grandpa. He was a proud Munster resident where he grew up with many close friends; including the Benchik family whom he loved dearly.
He was an avid Rock N’ Roll fan. He loved listening to his stereo on full blast and going to many concerts, at many venues, over the years. He was a Chicago Bears and Blackhawks fan, religiously watching games every week. He spent over 30 years in the trucking industry; leading to a passion for, and many stories of, the open road with a special love for Wyoming and the west.
Michael was unapologetically himself and lived life on his own terms. He knew who he was and we do too, the best dad we could have asked for. He will be missed dearly by many. He will be cremated per his wishes. There will be no services at this time, but to honor Michael’s spirit, blare some 80’s Rock N’ Roll and think of him.
