Laura Blue passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Michael Blue, son Michael (Miranda) Blue Jr, daughter Mckenna Blue, grandson Charlie Blue, father Glenn (Barb) Cheek, brother Steve (Donna) Cheek ,sister Sandra (Randall) Smith, nieces Emily Alexander, Sydney Smith, Shelbi Smith and Tiffany Krill along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
Laura graduated from Portage High School in 1985 and dedicated her life to caring for her family. She met and married Mike, the love of her life, 36 years ago and together they raised Michael and Mckenna.
She was unconditionally loving, a supportive friend and a trusted advisor to all those who were lucky enough to know her.
She had excellent taste in music, always had a smile to share, and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, be honest or stand up for someone who needed her.
She had a love for animals and treasured her fur babies.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her beloved Mom, Charlene Schroers.
She was an amazing daughter, wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend. Family was everything to her.
Friends may join the family for a casual visitation on September 28, 2024 at Duneland Community Church 1552 Pioneer Trail in Chesterton from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m.
