Daniel A. Stolpe
Aug. 15, 1947 ~ Sep. 24, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and friend Daniel Alan Stolpe, 78, of Valparaiso, Indiana who passed on September 24,2025.
Born in Valparaiso on August 15, 1947 to Joanna & Howard Stolpe. Daniel graduated from Valparaiso High School. He went on to spend most of his career life as a skilled carpenter- a craft he cherished not only for the work itself but for the joy of creating something lasting and meaningful. Every home he helped build was done with care, pride and satisfaction that came from what he loved. He loved to show you the building he just completed.
More than anything Daniel was a family man, after losing his wife, Linda, he devoted himself fully to raising their two youngest children. His love for his family was loud and powerful. It was always steady and present. He taught us how to work hard, love fiercely, and live with integrity.
Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Linda Stolpe, his parents Joanna and Howard Stolpe and his two brothers David and Dean Stolpe. He is survived by his four children Todd, Eric, Danielle, and Michael-and his six grandchildren Dalton, Austin, Ezekiel, Amelia, Cashton, and Kingsley all who were the light of his life.
To us, he was more than a father and grandfather he was our beacon, our protector, our hero. His strength was what carried us through the hardest times in our lives. His legacy will live on in the values he passed down, the love he gave without condition and memories we will carry the rest of our lives.
He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Linda, in Salem, Oregon- reunited once again with the love of his life.
We will miss him every day for the rest of our lives.
